Cloud Practice Specialist

As the Cloud Evangelist you will own and drive Cloud Sales across multiple cloud platforms including; Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Redhat, IBM, and Oracle.

In this position, you will interface with enterprise customers in the region to develop a trusted advisor relationship. You will lead the consultative discovery of client business requirements and then translate them into effective technology solutions. Reporting to the VP of Cloud Solutions, you will work collaboratively with Sales, Professional Services, and Operations to ensure the seamless transition of needs-based solution design throughout the project delivery and services lifecycle. You will be instrumental in ensuring technical solution capability meets customer and industry standards.

You will also maintain a high-level understanding of relevant Cloud Platforms and Emerging Technology including Cloud Containers, Orchestration, Automation, Kubernetes, Serverless Technology, Microservices, apis. This is a broadly scoped position suited for a true hybrid technologist focusing on Cloud and emerging technology.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Act as subject matter expert around at least one of the following cloud platforms; AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Architect solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP to meet customer requirements within industry and technology best practices.
  • Assist sales/presales teams on new and existing opportunities.
  • Design and Architect cloud-based solutions based on best practices using IaaS and PaaS deployment models.
  • Work with the Leadership team to set a practice strategy.
  • Act as the technical authority for assessment and approval of specifications for solution construction or change.
  • Assist partners with the project plan, direction, and evaluation with the inclusion of costs, requirements, and timeline.
  • Liaise with customer and internal staff throughout project delivery to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Share knowledge of product/solution benefits and capability in ongoing training sessions with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Assist Director with regional corporate growth activities and take on increase position responsibility when appropriate.
  • Develop a technical roadmap for the overall solution
  • Assist sales in customer meetings to answer technical questions.
  • Respond to technical components of RFI/RFP/RFQ.
  • Engage with customers to develop trusted technology advisor relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Work with customers to discover and gather technical and business requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to educate customers of solution and service benefits relevant to their business/technology needs and goals.
  • Assist sales in technical components of tender and bidding process.
  • Participate in technology and professional training and development to continue to enhance your skills and capability.

Technology Focus:

  • Cloud-based solutions specific to; security, reliability, performance, and high availability.
  • Automation; PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager, AWS CloudFormation, Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Infrastructure; Windows/Linux OS, Datacenter Infrastructure, DevOps, Enterprise Networking, Carrier Direct Connect services
  • Monitoring and analytics tools; Splunk, DataDog, OMS, and NewRelic.
  • Other tools and solutions; GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, HashiCorp, Alert Logic, Chef, Ansible.
