Idoctory Consulting is currently seeking a Cloud Data Migration Delivery Lead to join our team in Chicago, IL, and consult at our healthcare payer client.
As the Cloud Data Migration Lead, you will play a key role in overseeing all data migration activities for the $10M to $20M program. This role will operate in a Scaled Agile ERP Framework, working closely with the Client Executives, and will be responsible for the preparation, implementation, and cutover to MS Azure. This will require cross-functional collaboration across IT and the other workstreams.
The Program will have the following phases: Project Solution Confirmation, Pre- Project Portfolio Surge activity, Requirements, Design, Build and Testing, Deployment to post Go Live support, and ongoing sustaining.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Support the creation/review of the Data Migration Strategy, and contribute to the project plans relating to the Data Migration processes to be adopted
- Lead Data Migration team to document data migration requirements, on project planning and load scheduling, testing, and troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Providing guidance to sites/functions on the data cleansing and preparation process and standards, and clarification on data standards.
- Lead the Data Migration effort and manage progress against the project plan
- Analyzing legacy data, a quality check of submitted load files, testing load quality, leading user testing and acceptance of load process, providing input into specifications for automated data migration transformation rules, analysis and identification of duplicate records, and other activities required for successful and on-time data migration.
- Work closely with Business & PMO Leads on schedules and overall deployment support to sites, and with other workstreams on overall data migration and cutover plans.
- Oversight of data preparation contractors and other more junior staff supporting data migration activities.
Key Desired Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
- Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
- 10 to 15 years of the data migration experience
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale agile initiatives in data space
- Data migration of on-premises systems to cloud platforms or implanting new solutions in the cloud platform, 5 plus year (Required)
- 8 plus years of experience leading technical teams
- Previous MS Azure Synapse experience is preferred
- 2 plus years of experience with MS Azure Migration is required with MS Azure
- Deep knowledge of MS Azure Synapse data migration approaches, tools, methodologies, and processes
- Previous experience of a major program introduction/upgrade, ideally within an IT/Systems or Business representative role.
- A proven track record of continuous improvement, system upgrades/enhancements, proactive problem solving
- Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility
- High sense of urgency and commitment to execution

- Healthcare payer experience is a plus but not required
- Previous experience leading Enterprise Data Projects is required
- Prior consulting experience require
- Previous experience with scaled agile project management advantage and/or proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and respond to a fast-changing environment
- Role location is flexible, with participation at Team meetings, collaborative project events, across various client locations
